a5c7b9f00b S.H.I.E.L.D has now began a fresh start after the event of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with Phil Coulson now the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D and staying in the shadows with new recruits, it's up to him and his team to stop HYDRA from taking scientific weapons to create terrorist attacks. After the events of Avengers one, the Stratiegic Homeland Intervention Enforcement: Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.) needs a team of agents to find out and fix alien events. This team includes May, Daisy, Simmons, Fitz, and the man who lives, Agent Phil Coulson. This show follows the events of this team of many different skill and has many tie ins to the MCU movies. Terrible acting, terrible script writing, terrible 'story', cheap effects, lazy directing…the list is endless. How on earth Joss Whedon was happy to put his name to this pile of rubbish is anyone's guess. This show is something out of the mid 90s in terms of look and feel, and in an era where TV audiences can justifiably expect a lot, this show under-delivers in every sense. It's not eventhough it's catering to the masses by dumbing down, because I genuinely believe that the masses are intelligent enough to see through the clichés and cheesy one-liners to see this show for what it really is - a lazy, cack handed attempt to cash in on an otherwise extremely entertaining series of films.

PLEASE don't waste your time with this show, it's possibly the worst thing I've seen in the last 5 years. You must watch this show. Not because it's good, while it is, but because it's central to the movies. If you want to watch Marvel movies and understand them all, you are going to have to watch this. My no means am I saying that's the only reason to watch. I'm just saying. everything that happens here influences the movies and visa versa. It starts out sort of boring but the last 5-7 episodes are good. If you've watched the most recent movies you know why, and if you haven't, don't look it up. Anyway, now since the show has now found it's footing, I thing it will be a great second season. It's not superb, but it's enjoyable. I can't wait for it, and Agent Carter.
